It's Sunday afternoon, and I'm in Boston! But it still doesn't feel real though. My flights were yesterday, first 7 hours to Washington and then approx. 1 hour to Boston. Everything went fine, and luckily no big snow storm like last year when I landed!
And the weather is cold but sunny, not one single cloud! Better than in Belgium, so I've heard ;).
I've just encountered my very first American problem though: apparently I'm not able to do groceries online and have them delivered at home, since you need an American credit card... It would have been very convenient though to have my >20 liters water and other indispensable supplies delivered here! So now time to go to the supermarket in real life then!

Boston is coming near...
In less than 2 weeks I'll be back in Boston! Time is going so fast now, maybe even a little too fast... I'm already getting kind of nervous.
Every year I had difficulties finding a place to stay in Boston, but luckily this year I can stay in the same place as last year, in the very same room even. It's a house near my lab in Boston where most of the time young (foreign) professionals are staying for a couple of weeks/months. I really liked it there, and if you are curious to see where I'll be staying, here is the link of the house: http://web.mac.com/longwoodroom/Site94/Info.html .
My room will be room B.
And I just got some good news regarding the Endo2008 congress in San Francisco where I'll be going to in June to present some data: I got selected to attend the Endocrine Trainee Day, which is a workshop for a limited number of researchers the day before the actual congress starts. And as a selected attendee I will receive a $500 travel award and complimentary registration to the actual congress! That's pretty good news I think!
And now it's time to start packing...
